Depart Melbourne, passing through the northern suburbs before accelerating through Wallan toward the Great Dividing Range. Between Kilmore and Tallarook, relax in your comfortable seats as the train winds over the range before pulling into Seymour. Accessing the festival from the train could not be more convenient - be met on the platform by representatives of the festival, which lies just steps from the platform.

Our talented local growers, producers and makers make the most of these conditions to deliver gourmet food, award-winning wines, crisp ciders, unique craft beer, botanical gins and plenty more. In addition to the amazing food and wine on show, a variety of bands will provide music, along with entertainment for kids.


Our train will arrive in Seymour in time to allow you approximately 4 hours to explore the festival before returning to Melbourne.

Start the morning off with breakfast at the art-deco Savoy Hotel - a fitting way to start a great day out, with the building having hosted a hotel since Charles Alexander opened Australia's first hotel with en-suites and climate-controlled rooms in 1866.



After a leisurely breakfast, you will be escorted to Southern Cross Station to board the train and the first-class carriages that will transport you from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne to the multi-award-winning Tastes of the Goulburn Festival.



Upon arrival at the Festival, be escorted to the entrance where your ticket will allow you to taste and enjoy the afternoon before returning the the train for the journey home.




Gold Class service on our Tastes of the Goulburn train offers a relaxing rail journey to Seymore before entering the festival for a day of food, wine and music.


Mid-morning, make your way to Melbourne's Southern Cross Station to board the train and the carriages that will transport you from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne to one of Australia's most productive food bowls.


Gold Class Rail Only fares are also available, which include rail only with no access to the festival.




Timetable


Our train will depart Melbourne mid-morning, arriving at Seymour before lunch. The return journey will depart mid-afternoon, arriving back in Melbourne well before dinner. Exact departure and arrival times are yet to be confirmed but will be provided as soon as possible.

Our train will feature Slow Rail Journeys Standard Gauge Carriages, hauled by either a V/Line N Class Locomotive or one of Seven-O-Seven Operations' heritage diesel locomotives.
